2017 in a glance

My 2017 in summary... the good and the bad.

  • Career wise learned great knowledge working with my peers in Sydney
  • Accomplished something with value at work
  • Travelled to Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and most of New South Wales in Australia
  • Travelled to Auckland, Waitomo, Taupo and Rotorua in New Zealand
  • Travelled to Tokyo, Osaka, Hiroshima and Kyoto in Japan via shinkansen train
  • Purchased furnitures and appliances in our Sydney flat
  • Hurt someone
  • Love someone
  • Betrayed someone
  • Got betrayed
  • Gained new friends
  • Purchased my own townhouse in Manila
  • Developed Gastroesophageal reflux disease
  • Increased anxiety due to stress
  • New addition to the family, my niece Minarie
  • Last but not the least, My loyalty to Apple has been shaken and purchased myself a Samsung note 8. (Life changing indeed. Lol)
It has been a challenging year for me and
I have to say it's my most life changing year so far. So much good stuff happened yet bad stuff also happened which I just have faced and learned from them.  As Barack Obama once said, "Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek."

Thank you 2017, mostly it has been a good year for me!!!

I'm hoping 2018 will be even better! Happy new year everyone!

Happy new year written from my awesome Samsung Note 8!

Southern Hem Exposure

I am still alive! Sorry for not posting as I have been extremely busy for the past year and a lot has change! I have not been updating my blog entries for a long while as I have been assigned to Sydney to work on Macquarie HQ. Too busy on work that even my Pokemon go frenzy has stopped. Anyway  funny story. I was supposedly be assigned to our Houston office, however got denied for an L1 visa (intra company transfer) stating I am not specialized enough and an American could be hired instead. The US embassy is really strict in issuing working visas. Seriously, I went on major scrutiny. However management decided to put up a fight and we submitted a 100 page plus document of my job role and achievements to United States Homeland and Security, and we've acquired the visa after 6 mos. Anyway after all the trouble of acquiring my US visa, manager decided to assign me to Sydney instead so here I am.

... story of my life.

So.. What does one do in Southern Hemisphere?

1. Travel. Familiarize oneself on Australia's states. - On going :)
2. Travel. New Zealand - Check! But I plan to return. There's just so much to see that even driving to a convenience store is scenic.
3. Travel. See the Aurora Australis. - In the checklist (we've got southern lights too you know.)
4. Travel. Papua New Guinea.
5. Travel more. -- priorities.

Lol. Yep keep the money burning.

So where have I been to?

Sydney's famous landmarks - Harbour bridge and Opera House

Blog entries to be created.. I will make a post for my journeys in Sydney, NSW, Melbourne, New Zealand and Japan.

Soon. For now, just my selfie!

What you deserve

You deserve more of their attention than their phone does.
You deserve quality time, not just time.
You deserve efforts, not just routines.
You deserve to be treated as if you are a priority, not the last thing on their checklist.
You are special and you deserve to be the only option.
If that is too much to ask then you are asking it from the wrong person..
