Captioned Puerto Princesa

I'll try to tell my trip to Puerto Princesa by means of captions and photos and not be too wordy... for a change. :)

Meet Poseidon! I couldn't resist not buying because it's too darn adorable!! Like me in this photo. :P
DAY 1: Tour of Puerto Princesa, city of Flora and Fauna. Palawan is 70% evergreen, earthquake-free (because from what I heard, their island is made of solid rock) and home to tropical forests and unique plants and flowers species from around Southeast Asia. Too bad I didn't saw one of those Venus Flytraps, Pitcher Plants and the likes.

First meal here in Puerto, first customers of Badjao Seafront for that day.
First stop of the city tour is Puerto's version of Baywalk
A perfect jumpshot despite the hard wind
Baker's Hill, for your sweet tooth and a view of statues which are by the way not bakers!
People of Palawan probably didn't know that Donald is part of Disney and not Looney Toons. Where's Daffy? Bugs and Babs miss you.
A Kalesa with a wooden horse

Snow White and the 8 dwarfs.
You want a piece of me??
Crocodile Meat tastes gummy! Yes we tried it and it's delish!
When bearcats gone wild, boy he's heavy!
Watch out for the coming Asianovela entitled, Gracia and the Bearcat! Coming Soon!
Weaving takes time, Gracia eager to learn?
Dinner Reservation at Ka Lui Resto.
DAY 2: Ugong Rock Adventure and the Famous Underground River Tour!

For the adventurer, definitely add this to your itinerary!
At the entrance, ready to go spelunking!
It's called Ugong Rock because if you knock on them, it resonates sound. Which the logical explanation for that would be .... because it's hollow rocks and we're in a cave right?
Construction workers on flipflops! Oh c'mon, I'm wearing a pink hard hat! :P
Is there such a thing as rappelling upwards? :P This is approximately 20ft high.
I did it and I deserve water!
Use the zipline! It's more fun than sweating climbing back down Ugong Rock!
I believe this is 285 ft high? Don't raise your arms while going down or you're gonna end up like me swinging all over! The wind will blow you off course.
Vote for the Underground River to be part of the 7 Wonders of Nature in the World!
Marble forming
It is absolutely dark inside with low oxygen levels. Inside the cave also smells of bat dung.
Oh maddening gale of the spirits of the Earth.. Stalagmite! - Jade from Tales of the Abyss

Going back to the boat and done with the tour. Rock formation behind us.
Look who's tired?
DAY 3: Honda Bay, Island Hopping and Snorkeling. We have great photos here taken by our tour guide, Jesse. I'll just be adding those cool photos.

Witches on board sticks and one on an actual broom stick! I'm casting Crucio on her. :P
We can make San Miguel good ads. :)
Kick the can, kick the can!
We all came from the coconut. Not from Adam's rib!
Giant Starfish on shore!
Owwww, I'm being shrunk.
There you go! You can view the rest of the photos on my facebook. Tons of photos like spam mail. :P This post is similar to a picture book for Kindergarten Literature. :)

Kawayanan Resort for the Win!

Because of the absolutely kind and hospitable manager, Sheryl, I am promoting Kawayanan Resort located in Puerto Princesa! :)

She was kind enough to allow us to go night swimming though hotel guests were the only ones permitted. This was around 7pm and we wanted to swim on a pool after all the adventure we went through! Day 2 of our trip was all about sweat! I guess we looked kind of pitifully tired and wasted so she went along with our ‘desperate plea look’ to swim. :)

It's a Kaotic World

I may be a little late promoting KAOS but..

My friend and I went to see Kaos held at Newport Performing Arts Theatre last month and it was amazing! The story is predictable but the performances were impressive as it’s not only a play, but has magic acts, circus performances and stunts and stuff like that. The cast and crew are from different countries such as performers from New York (or was it Vegas or both?), there were Chinese acrobats who do human pyramids and climbing on rope and acts similar to flying trapezes, muscle men from Belarus with abs of steel, my personal favorite, the defying gravity duo from England (I think) they were on some kind of dual Ferris Wheel (just two opposite circle carriage actually) spinning fast and they were jumping around like flying! You’d think they’d fall performing such dangerous stunts! Well they definitely took my breath away. There were also motorists from Spain showing balance and synchronization making sure they don’t crash onto each other in a small spherical cage. Off course the whole cast of the play are mostly Filipinos, the hip-hop dance champions, Philippine All Stars were there too and the harmonious BGM was performed by Manila Symphony Orchestra. I like their bgm. :)

There were magic acts too with tigers on the stage. Although they’re trained I was afraid animal instincts might make them lose their cool! Disappearing acts, women being burned and put in a box with knives on it yet somehow alive, how the hell do they do all these illusions? I was watching closely! (Tagline of the Prestige movie.) I remember the Prestige it was pretty creepy but the tricks are somewhat similar.

I don’t have photos because they’re not allowing pictures to be taken like the other plays I’ve seen. But I’m sure you’d find one uploaded in youtube. :)

It’s our first time in RW so we explored, had dinner at Stackers and tried the movies too. It’s not that pricey considering they have comfy seats, reclining and all.

We also gambled…. On the slot machine! Pushing our luck was a bad idea. Did you know that in all casinos, you’d find the slot machines near entrances or exits? The casino’s inner structure is designed for people to lose money. The slots are located near entrances because if you’re losing and you have a few bucks to spare, the gambler in you will most likely bet them on slots. Pretty clever huh? Oh yeah I definitely have some gambler genes from my father!  It was fun though! (Except the losing part!) :P

I like plays and stuff like these, I was regretting the fact I wasn’t able to buy CATS tickets when they were in Manila. I also want to see the Nutcracker play. SO far I’ve seen Peter Pan, Black Theatre types, Circus stuff too (when I was young!) and shows from PCHS Troupe so let me know if something comes up! :p

By the way Newport Performing Arts Theatre is a lot better than CCP.
